Teddy Drone winner Rainbow Heir found the state-bred company congenial today, splashing to a 12-length score to top the NJ Thoroughbred Festival at Monmouth.
Trainer Ben Perkins, Jr. will send out three runners at Saturday’s New Jersey Thoroughbred Festival, including solid favorite Rainbow Heir in the NJ Breeders.
On Sunday, the New Jersey-bred Hall of Fame inducted two new members. Suitably inspired, a current NJ-bred, Rainbow Heir, won the Teddy Drone.
Three-time stake winner Geeky Gorgeous earned recognition as New Jersey-bred Horse of the Year.
Another big Laurel Park card — with four stakes — may see star Ben’s Cat face a hard-hitting group in the Dave’s Friend Stakes.
