Trainer Ben Perkins, Jr. will send out three runners at Saturday’s New Jersey Thoroughbred Festival, including solid favorite Rainbow Heir in the NJ Breeders.
On Sunday, the New Jersey-bred Hall of Fame inducted two new members. Suitably inspired, a current NJ-bred, Rainbow Heir, won the Teddy Drone.
Three-time stake winner Geeky Gorgeous earned recognition as New Jersey-bred Horse of the Year.
Another big Laurel Park card — with four stakes — may see star Ben’s Cat face a hard-hitting group in the Dave’s Friend Stakes.
