Trainer Claudio Gonzalez is looking to have three runners — one a defending champion — in Preakness weekend stakes next month.
Six horses that have won or placed in graded stakes are entered in Saturday’s Grade 3 De Francis Dash.
Nearly 200 horses have been nominated to seven stakes, including the 25th running of the DeFrancis Dash, at Laurel Park November 19.
Top rider Ramon Dominguez, now retired, will attend opening Saturday at Laurel Park, participating in a special ceremony and autograph session.
