At the Maryland Million post draw, you couldn’t shake the feeling that this old event is becoming new all over again.
Eighttofasttocatch won the Maryland Million Classic in 2011 but lost last year. Ben’s Cat won the Turf Sprint both years — but that race no longer exists. Both are back this year and loom large in their fields.
After more than 6,400 victories, winning still hasn’t gotten old for King Leatherbury — and Ben’s Cat is one big reason for the trainer’s continued success.
