Carryovers: None Notes: Main track fast, turf soft

Race #1 Picks: 3-1-7-2

In this $5000 maiden claiming Race for fillies and mares at one mile and 70 yards, #3 Another Flirt (7-2) was claimed last time out for $12,500 and now for sale for $5000. Has never had a fast track and if she gets one he may do better while stretching out. She isn’t facing much competition today.  #1 Miss Susie R (3-2) is trying dirt for the first time after struggling on the turf. Now dropping to a maiden claiming $5000 and adding blinkers. #7 Conduttore (3-1) has had some decent races in $10,000 maiden claiming races at Parx and now dropping to $5000. #2 Kisses for Hannah (6-1) has run evenly at this level and may get a minor award.

Race #2 Picks: 6-7-2-1

In this $12,500 maiden claiming race at 1 1/16 miles, #6 Highland Dream (8-1) is newly gelded and is the only horse in the race with even a hint of early speed. Now moving from turf to dirt and down to the $12,500 claiming level. Trainer James L. Lawrence II wins at a 29% clip with horses dropping 50% or more in 49 starts. #7 Starship Gotham (3-1) was claimed for $10,000 at Parx back in February. Trainer Mario Dominguez wins at 29% on first after claim in 28 attempts. #2 Only Child (4-1) showed some closing speed in last, and the class drop should allow him to be competitive.  #1 Consider Me (6-1) has enough speed to get a small piece of the purse.

Race #3 Picks: 4-5-3-1

In this $20,000 claiming race for N3L fillies and mares a 5 1/2 furlongs, #4 Kashan (3-1) was holding her own in the allowance ranks before trying the turf, where she bolted. Now back on the dirt where she should be very competitive at this claiming level. #5 Mountain Lilly (4-1) has lots of early speed and will be the one they are chasing. Will be trying to hold off the closers late.  #3 Mizzen (8-1) recently won at Delaware in a race taken off the turf. Last turf effort can be thrown out and she looks like a competitor. #1 Ghost Maiden (2-1) will be charging late, but 5 ½ furlongs might be a little short for her.

Race #4 Picks: 1-3-2-4

In this optional claiming/starter allowance race at 1 1/16 miles, #1 Roadtriptonowhere (9-5) is coming from Parx where he has been very competitive at this level. He always puts in a good effort. He will be laying just off the pace and waiting to strike. #3 Soros (6-1) has early speed and was running well at Churchill. He is inconsistent, but if he runs up to his potential he will be in the mix. #2 Hard Lighting (5-2) is a closer and will need speed to run at. He is usually competitive but has not won in over a year. #4 Ekati’s Verve (5-1) has been competitive at this level but has not won in a long time.

Race #5 Picks: 12-4-10-13

In this $16,000 claiming race for N2L at 1 1/16 miles on the turf, #12 Unorthodox (5-1) is taking a class drop and passed tiring horses on the turf at Laurel in last. Only one win in seventeen tries but the class drop should put him in the mix. #4 Crazy Odds (10-1) has had two recent sharp turf outings and is worth looking at in the exotics. #10 Blowing Big Smoke (8-1) has already beaten several others in this field and has an outside chance.

Race #6 Picks: 3-6-2-1

In this allowance/optional claiming race for N2X at 1 1/16 miles, we are going to for a minor upset with #3 The King Cheek (7-2). Lone speed is very dangerous and this race is a prime example of it. This gelding should be able to get clear from this group and we think Jaime Rodriguez will be able to get him to the wire first. #6 Windcracker (5-2) showed he could handle running routes in last and seemed to like the Delaware surface. #2 Closer Look (9-5) looks like he will be competitive, but has not won in over a year. Will be closing late and could win if the speed up front falters. #1 Excursion (8-1) has won two straight at Parx and appears to be in good form.

Race #7 Picks: 9-5-4-1

In this optional claiming/starter allowance at 1 1/16 miles on the turf, #9 Gunslinger (IRE) (4-1) has lots of early speed and should be able to compete for the lead. Has won 3-of-4 on the Delaware turf and has higher speed figures than many others in this field. #5 Sovereign Warrior (5-2) has been running well on the turf at Parx.Trainer Guadalupe Guerrero has been very successful at repeating with winners, and this is a top contender.  #4 Borgobythesea (5-1) is another speed burner and will be looking to go from gate to wire. Has also won 3–of-4 on the Delaware turf. #1 Trouble Coffee (8-1) is a very consistent horse and should definitely be closing late and passing tired horses.

Race #8 Picks: 1-3-4-6

In this $5000 claiming race for fillies and mares at one mile, #1 Holmdel Park (6-1) has been running at Parx and is making her first start at Delaware. Got the lead in last but faded to 3rd late. We think her front-running style will help her on the Delaware surface. #3 Magnetique (4-1) is also coming from Parx and stretching out to a distance where she has been more successful. #4 Moniques Daredevil (3-1) is also stretching out and dropping back to $5000. She looks well placed here. #6 Beautiful Tiz (10-1) is dropping back down to Claiming $5000 where she has been competitive in the past.
