Bodexpress arrives at Pimlico. Photo by Dottie Miller.

Tuesday is about arrivals: War of Will, Market King, Signalman, Bodexpress. War of Will arrives under cover of night, slipping in in the wee small hours of the morning. Market King arrives mid-afternoon, octogenarian trainer D. Wayne Lukas holding court with the assembled media after his horse debarks the van. The others arrive later. Has the Preakness winner arrived yet? Or is he still to come, in the next wave of arrivals, or the one after that? There’s anticipation in the air at Old Hilltop, an eagerness that even a brisk May day and a water main break in the driveway can’t erase.
