From a Delaware Park release

Trainer Gary Capuano notched career victory 1,000 at Delaware Park today.  The milestone came in the second race when Non Stop Stable’s Miss Speaker posted a neck triumph in a six furlong $5,000 claiming event.  The 5-year-old Maryland-bred daughter of Oratory was ridden by Trevor McCarthy.

Capuano notched his first career victory with Superior Blend at Pimlico Race Course in 1988.  The 49-year-old native of Washington, D.C., trained Captain Bodgit to victories in the Florida Derby and Wood Memorial and a second-place finish in the Kentucky Derby and a third in the Preakness Stakes in 1997.  In 1996, he won the Dover Stakes at Delaware Park with Captain Bodgit.

Congrats!
