Picks and analysis for this evening’s card from Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races:

RACE 1

4. Moonshine Mama	Drawn better after wide journey in latest in return to one-turn distance
6. Groom the House	OK works for a first-timer by Limehouse (12% first starters) out of a mare who won five times
3. Runaway Gold	A little sluggish leaving the gate in latest, but that’s been an ongoing problem, and one that’s deadly going 4 1/2 furlongs

RACE 2

7. Lucago	Willing in first local try and first at 4 1/2 furlongs
3. Shanghai Warrior	Major class drop after not-terrible outing in starter company at 92-1; third off the bench
1. Gold Fiber	Speed from the rail and is the lone runner entering off a win

RACE 3

6. Antonacci Girl	$80,000 Bolt d’Oro filly makes bow after some decent works at LRL; trainer Farrior is 12-for-40 (30%) with debut runners in special weight company at CT
7. Mudslide	Dueled willingly with winner in latest, and a repeat would make her tough here
4. Madam Senator	Sire Bandbox a solid record with debut runners (16%), but dam was winless

RACE 4

5. Addy Mae	Lightly raced sort was competitive versus similar previously and has better efforts to run back to
1. Bit of Blessings	Lightbulb may have gone on as this mare followed up her first win with her first second; repeat puts her on the board
4. Machen Mayhem	Makes first local start and first in for a tag, though trainer Baird, who has a good record at MNR, is just 1-for-21 at CT

RACE 5

3. Penguin Parade	Caught no breaks in latest when pressed throughout and stuck with it well enough; slightly easier group today a plus and trainer’s go-to rider Bocachica lands here
4. Rocket Appeal	Good try in latest when finishing ahead of top choice but could not ride good trip to the winner’s circle; usually runs pretty well, but it’s been a while since he won
9. Neverpopthecork	Away since November and hung out wide, but nicely beat similar in latest outing

RACE 6

6. Sea of Tranquility	Took the worst of the trip in latest when wide around the first turn and exchanging bumps with a rival in the lane; lightly raced sort still has some upside
5. Callisto’s Brigade	Sure does love to finish second
2. Destin’s Rainbow	Speedy sort may try to wire ’em and nearly did in latest; added half-furlong may not do him any favors

1. Radar Alert	Added ground seems to have done this one a lot of good, and winner of latest was 2-5 after losing by three in a LRL allowance; makes third start off the bench
2. Main Line Cipher	Didn’t miss by much in latest after exchanging bumps with winner in the lane; gets leading rider Bocachica in the irons
7. Rock Anna Roll	Has win and a couple seconds locally; makes first start off the bench, but trainer Stites is 4-for-9 off similar breaks at CT; best contends

RACE 8

5. Vino From Ernies	Beaten fave in latest gets blinkers on for first start after Jackson claim; best efforts win here
8. Most Unusual Day	Jockey Araujo chooses this speedster over trainer’s other runner; likely to look for the front early
7. Cortado	Doesn’t win much but closer likely to land in bottom of exotics
11. When Your Strange	Live if drawing in
