- After getting shut out early, favorites won the last five races of the day at odds ranging from 1-5 to 6-5. As a result, the late Pick 5 paid a paltry $26.85.
- Trainer Juan Arriagada won twice and now has 10 wins; only Jamie Ness (12) has more.
