MTHA to host community meeting on Maryland future

The Board of Directors of the Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association will host an online Community Meeting for Members on Thursday, Jan. 11 at 11am, to discuss the recently released reports prepared on behalf of the Maryland Thoroughbred Racetrack Operating Authority.

The MTROA, created by law last year, has been examining the options for the future of the Maryland Thoroughbred racing and breeding industry, specifically facilities and operating models. The reports will be considered by the state General Assembly, which begins its 2024 legislative session Jan. 10.

Gregory Cross, who chairs the MTROA, and Alan Foreman, a member of the Board of the MTROA, will make presentations and answer attendee questions.

Registration for the webinar is required and is available at the MTHA website.
