The dumbest idea anybody has ever heard of. Spend 400 million in a neighborhood that people are afraid to walk thru, that is in the most dangerous city in America. . Destroy a track that needs little work, in a safe area, has 11 acres of parking, 5 turf courses. Attracts fans from Northern Virginia. The graft from this project will be millions. FOY Frank Stronach can not make the old Bowie track into a training track because he gave it away several years ago to The City Of Bowie. Maryland racing will be gone in 10 years, very sad.

You have to remember that Stronach has to have a say in this, so maybe that’s why this is half-brained. 10 years? Try 5.

Not even in the top 25 “most dangerous cities”

A few things, Stronach owns Laurel and you cannot force him just to give you the property. He has a right to develop it just like any landowner would. Over 95 percent of handle comes via ADW so not sure they’re going to miss the nine cars from NOVA. Not to mention your thinly veiled racist comments about the Park Heights neighborhood in Baltimore.

As one of the nine cars from NoVA IDGAF if Stronach misses me.

Or you for that matter. Not entirely sure if they care about much.

I thought I read that Laurel Park is structurally unsound for the long term. So it would require more than a little work. It would have to be eventually torn down and rebuilt from the ground up.

Most likely I’ll be headed to CT in 3 years once Laurel closes unless the HISA oligarchs shut it down first by force of habit. Not entirely sure what they mean by this (especially Foreman’s involvement) but I’ve been pondering the future and it entirely has to do with the Preakness brand. Gotta love the channeling of more money into an already bloated company!
