Race #1 Picks: 8-7-4-1

Race #2 Picks: 6-4-2-3

Race #3 Picks: 6-2-7-1

Race #4 Picks: 1-6-2-5

In this $44,000 first level allowance race at 5 ½ furlongs, #1 Nelson Avenue (3-1) won his debut race with a 72 speed figure. He has been working well, and we think he will be able to move up to the next level and get a win today. #6 Magical Warrior (6-5) has lots of early speed and will be very dangerous if he can get free. He has the highest speed figures and is a top contender. #2 Rebel Empire (5-1) is running his second race after a long layoff and should improve. He is back in Lynn Ashby’s barn where he had success last year. #5 Young Turk (8-1) won his last and appears to be in good form. Making his first start for trainer John Robb.

[Nelson Avenue “under the radar” debut]

Race #5 Picks: 1-1A-6-2

Race # 6 Picks: 6-7-3-5

In the $100,000 Rocky Run Stakes for two-year-olds at one mile, #6 Tuskegee Airmen (2-1) was very impressive when defeating thirteen rivals in his debut at Parx. This colt is physically big for a two-year-old, and he looks like he might love going a mile. We think he will improve with a race under his belt and have him on top.  #7 Dataman (4-1) is making his first start on dirt. He will have Angel Suarez, who guided him to his only victory, back on top. He ran evenly in the Grade 2 Pilgrim Stakes last out, and we don’t think trainer Graham Motion would have entered him here if he couldn’t run on the dirt. #3 Midnight Trouble (3-1) has shown he can run a mile with an easy 7 ¾-length win in September.  He ran a close third in the six-furlong First State Dash with a 78 figure and should appreciate the added ground today. #5 Saloon (6-1) struggled in the Sapling after getting off to a slow start but ran a fast race in his debut here at Delaware Park.

Race #7 Picks: 1-2-6-5

Race #8 Picks: 2-4-1-9
