Parx Racing has a 10-race card on tap for this afternoon. Post time for the opener is 12:25 p.m., and we’ve got Parx picks.

How’d we do last time at Parx?

RACE NUMBERCONTENDERSCOMMENTS
Race 67-6-3-5Charles Town shipper #7 Prime Lime (4-1) looks to be the speed of the speed in this contest; she’s consistently been in front going 4 1/2 furlongs at CT and has won going farther, including today’s distance… #6 Sexyama (5-2) takes the drop out of $25k claiming company, and though her recent tries are going farther, she’s won at this trip… The thing about #3 Blue Shine (6-1) is that she’s been consistently put in way above her head — she’s been at least 10-1 in five straight and at least 30-1 in her last three — but when properly spotted class-wise generally runs decent races. Five back — the last time she was in a spot where she figured at all — she ran third against slightly better than these… #5 Lady Magica (2-1) stuck with it to the wire last out against similar to be second, though that was two months ago…
Race 77-2-3-1AArguably the best race any runner here has run was the debut effort of #7 Amaterasu (3-1). The Karakontie filly was a willing second behind a $200k daughter of Into Mischief at Laurel that day and was getting to the winner late. She didn’t run well in her follow-up, but that came on the mud and for all that, she was only a couple out of second. She gets Lasix on, and a fast track could make her a graduate today… #2 Everymothersprayer (5-2) finished second in our top choice’s last, her second runner-up finish in as many starts; she had an inside journey that day but could not go with the winner and barely held second. Her debut was solid, as she prevailed in a three-horse tussle for the front and stuck with it to the wire… Curious to see #3 Wild Delight (5-1) here; the daughter of Karakontie is out of a winless Medaglia d’Oro mare and has been turning in fast works. Trainer Mark Reid is 3-for-42 with first timers… #1A Confirmed Genius (7-2, part of entry) has gotten a lot of love at the windows, though only one of her three tries — her second, which was her first against PA-bred maidens — lived up to the hype. we’ll give her a pass on her last, which came on a muddy track…
