Delaware Park has a nine-race card scheduled for Saturday, August 4, with the last two contests for Arabians. Post time for the card is 1:15 p.m., and here are some horses to watch:
Race 5 – Maiden special weight
- Three-year-olds and up will go a mile on the turf.
- In a race full of runners who have tried the turf without winning — though some have run quite well — #9 Toe Curlin’ Kiss (6-1) presents an interesting profile. The sophomore Curlin colt — out of a Bernardini mare — will try the green stuff for the first time here today. The Graham Motion trainee has run twice to date in his brief career, rallying while going a mile in his debut at six furlongs on the main track before showing speed before backing out in a mile race at Laurel Park, a race from which the show horse graduated next out. He shows a couple of five-furlong breezes since his last race, June 29, and Motion gives the mount to meet-leading rider Carol Cedeno.
- Selections: 9-6-1-8
