From a Delaware Park release

The upcoming 81st season of live racing at Delaware Park will feature 81 days with the meet starting on May 30 and concluding on October 20. The 2018 dates were approved by the Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission today.

That calendar is substantially similar to what the track raced in 2017, when live racing began June 3 and continued to October 21. Track officials are already at work preparing for the meet.

Live racing will be conducted on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. In the final week of the meet, live racing will be conducted on Wednesday, October 17th and Saturday, October 20th only. Daily first race post time is set for 1:15 p.m.

Delaware Park’s premier races, the Delaware Oaks (Gr. III) and the Delaware Handicap (Gr. II), will be held on July 7 and July 14, respectively.
