Two mid-Atlantic stud farms recently announced additions to their stallion rosters.

Maryland’s Shamrock Farm will stand Barbados, while Northview PA will add Uncle Lino to the mix.

Barbados, a five-year-old son of Speightstown, won four times in his career and earned nearly $400,000.  A speedy sprinter, he is out of the stakes-winning Street Cry mare Northern Station.

Barbados counted three stakes victories among his four wins, including a triumph in the Grade 3 Hutcheson Stakes at Gulfstream Park in 2015.  He also placed in three other graded events.

Barbados will stand for $2,500.

A four-year-old, Uncle Lino will be the first son of Uncle Mo to stand in the mid-Atlantic region.  He had two career wins, one in stakes company, and placed in two graded events, including a third-place finish in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby.  He earned $316,160 in his career.

Uncle Lino is out of the unraced Orientate mare Haysee.

“Northview has been looking extremely hard for a son of Uncle Mo,” said Northview president and CEO Richard Golden. “Uncle Lino has checked all of our boxes. We are very excited to be able to offer Uncle Lino to our breeders for 2017.”

Uncle Lino will stand for $4,000.
