There will be mandatory payouts in the 20-cent Rainbow 6 and 50-cent Late Pick 5 wagers when Laurel Park concludes its 52-day fall meet on Saturday, Dec. 31.
Neither multi-race wager was hit during a special Monday program, creating carryovers for the return of live racing Friday, Dec. 30. Post time for the nine-race card is 12:30 p.m.

The Rainbow 6, which spans races 4-9, saw its jackpot carryover grow to $9,946.85 after going unsolved on Monday. Tickets with five of six winners were worth $3,008.28.
The Late Pick 5, which offers an industry-low 12 percent takeout, will have a carryover of $7,804.84. Tickets with four of five winners Monday returned $173.40.
Also on Friday, there will be a carryover of $994.57 for the $1 Super Hi-5 in the first race.

Jockey Horacio Karamanos visited the winner’s circle three times Monday, with Holiday Blues ($3.40) in the second race, Danny My Boy ($9) in the third and Blu Moon Ace ($43.40) in the featured eighth, a $45,000 optional claiming allowance for 3-year-olds and up. Jockey Trevor McCarthy also had a nice day, posting a riding double, winning aboard Painter’s Rags ($10.60) in the sixth race and My Giant ($5.80) in the ninth.
Heading into the final days of the stand, jockey Jevian Toledo owns a 13-win lead over his nearest competitor in the jockey standings. Toledo has won 64 times from 359 starts, well ahead of Trevor McCarthy’s 51 wins. On the trainer side, Mary Eppler is nearing her first Laurel Park title; she has 22 wins, while her nearest pursuer, Gary Capuano, has 16.
Monday’s total handle on the nine-race program was $3.082 million with in-state handle up 28.6 percent.
In addition to the mandatory payouts, the New Year’s Eve program includes five stakes worth $475,000 in purse earnings. Laurel Park’s winter-spring meet opens Sunday, Jan. 1.
