From a Monmouth Park release

Exchanging Secrets will look for back-to-back wins and her first in stakes company when she enters the gate Sunday with six rivals in the $75,000 Miss Woodford Stakes, going six furlongs on the Monmouth main track.

“It’s a tough stakes,” said Eddie Plesa Jr., who conditions the horse for Morris Bailey. “She has been doing really good going into the race.”

The 3-year-old filly by Exchange Rate out of the Meadow lake mare Seven of Nine is coming off a win in a $35,000 allowance optional claiming event at Parx on May 28, where she sat off the early pace before just getting her nose in front at the wire for the victory.

Exchanging Secrets is 1-for-1 over the Monmouth Park dirt when she broke her maiden at first asking last year on Sept. 5, staying second throughout the race before finding the lead midway down the stretch and posting a length and a half score.

“I’m not crazy about her breaking from the rail,” said Plesa Jr. “I feel that horses get off a half step slow from the rail going short.”

Exchanging Secrets is 3-for-3 over a fast main track in her brief career, with two of those wins coming at six furlongs.

Joe Bravo will be back aboard Exchanging Secrets Sunday for the second time in her career.

Five of the seven runners set to enter the gate Sunday are coming off victories with all, but one, winning in allowance optional claiming company.
