On this week’s Off to the Races podcast, we look ahead to the weekend’s stakes races.

On tap:

  • the A Huevo at Charles Town brings together four of the top five finishers from last month’s West Virginia Breeders Classics; and
  • two South Carolina residency races, the Christopher Elser Memorial Stakes and Donna Freyer Stakes, at Parx Racing for two-year-olds.

Then we’ll reconvene our handicapping roundtable to focus on the six stakes at Laurel.  In particular, we’ll focus on the $350,000 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash,as well as the $100,000 Safely Kept and the $100,000 James F. Lewis, III. On this week’s handicapping roundtable: Linda Dougherty, Gary Quill and Nick Hahn.
