From a Delaware Park release

Barbara Hopkins’ Troubled Kid set a track record for five and a half furlongs on the main track at Delaware Park today.

With Pablo Fragoso aboard, the 3-year-old son of Harlan’s Holiday, covered the distance in 1:02.58 over a fast main track.  The Kentucky-bred trained by Ramon Preciado won the $25,000 starter allowance by 9-lengths.  In his previous outing, he won a six furlong $25,000 maiden claiming race by 16 ½-lengths at Parx on July 25.

The previous record was held by New Yawker, who covered the five and a half furlongs over a fast main track in 1:02.59 on June 20, 2013.
