Last night’s $30,000 White Alley Handicap at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races turned into the Walk of Stars Show.

Walk of Stars, a four-year-old filly trained in Maryland by Mike Trombetta and ridden last night by Travis Dunkelberger, shot to the early lead, held a head advantage after a half-mile, and then widened the gap at each call.  At the wire, she led by 10 3/4 lengths over place horse Cherished Obsession.  It was another length back to Morningisbreaking, in third, and 1-2 favorite Brenda’s Way ended up sixth after a wide trip.

Shippers held down the top two spots.

For Walk of Stars, owned and bred by R. Larry Johnson, the win was her first in stakes company and fourth overall, from 14 starts.  The winner’s share pushed her career earnings to $84,444.  She has won three of four starts at Charles Town, and all four of her wins have come at bullring tracks; she broke her maiden last August at Timonium.

Running time for 1 1/16 mile test was 1:45.13.
