  • One Midlantic-bred nominated to the Triple Crown is entered to race, while four others have worked in recent days.
    • Maryland-bred Jackson P is entered in Thursday’s sixth race from Laurel Park.  It’s a first-level allowance going six furlongs, and he’s the 7-2 third choice in the field of seven.
    • Two of the four horses to work in recent days recorded bullet works on Tuesday.  At Santa Anita Park, Pennsylvania-bred The Man zipped four furlongs in 47 1/5 seconds, the fastest of 24 works at the distance.  Across the country, at Laurel Park, Maryland-bred Ghost Bay went four furlongs in 50 seconds flat, the fastest of five at the trip.
    • Two other Triple Crown-nominated runners also appeared on the work tab.  Pennsylvania-bred Nasa made his first appearance on the work list since early February when he breezed a half-mile in 49 2/5 seconds Wednesday at Parx, the 21st fastest of 60 to work a half.  Meanwhile, on Tuesday at the Belmont training track, Maryland-bred Combat Diver went a half-mile in 49 1/5 seconds, the 15th fastest of 84 at the distance. [/su_list]
