In addition to the plentiful Labor Day stakes action in the region, two Midlantic-breds will try their hands in the last stake of the Saratoga meeting, the Grade 3 Saranac for sophomores on the turf.  They have two things in common: both are Pennsylvania-breds, and both are longshots.  Jena Antonucci sends out 30-1 Predicting, a son of Visionaire who most recently ran fourth in the Crowd Pleaser for state-breds at Parx.  That race’s winner, Beyond Smart, is also here; and the PA-bred son of Smart Strike will be gunning for his fourth straight win for trainer Jonathan Sheppard.  He’s 15-1.
