On December 29, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course will host the World Series of Handicapping.

The World Series is a one-day handicapping contest in which players place a minimum of five $10 win wagers — they may place more bets or wager more money on those bets but cannot drop below those numbers — on races run that day at Aqueduct, Fair Grounds, Tampa, Gulfstream and Parx.

The contest carries a guaranteed $5,000 prize pool to be split up among the top three finishers on a 60-30-10 basis.  In addition, because the contest is a live-money event, players keep their parimutuel winnings.

Contestants can register in person at Penn National prior to or on the day of the contest, or they can mail in their registration as long as it is received prior to December 26.  The registration fee is $100 — half for the player’s voucher, half for the prize pool.
